How we make it
Olive is the most beautiful wood we turn and the most demanding. We only use well-seasoned stock, inspect every blank twice for hidden cracks, and reject far more than we keep.
Its swirling, interlocked grain means light cuts and sharp tools, extra sanding to keep every fibre flat, and careful surface preparation so the body-safe seal bonds to the naturally oily wood. The marbled figure means your Halo will look like no other.
Why this shape works
We kept the Halo deliberately simple: a straight shaft that tapers gently from base to tip. That makes it one of the easiest shapes to ease into, and one of the easiest to control.
The straight line gives steady, even pressure exactly where you aim it, the 1.4" maximum diameter is comfortable for most people, and the plain form lets the grain do the talking.
Every piece is turned by hand from its own blank, so the grain, color and figure of yours will be unique. No two are ever exactly alike.
