How we make it
Hard maple has almost invisible pores and a fine, even grain, which is why we chose it for our most approachable design. It sands to an almost glassy surface and takes a flawless, even seal.
We turn the slender body and the gently flared tip by hand, then sand and seal it exactly like our premium pieces. Maple’s pale honey tone looks clean and quietly elegant, and the subtle grain in yours will be its own.
Why this shape works
The Dawn is the one we recommend if you’re new to wooden toys. At 1.35" across and 5.5" usable it’s slim and easy to control, and the slight curve adds just enough angle to make it interesting.
The gently flared tip adds a little extra sensation without being intense, and the solid base makes it easy to hold and safe to use.
Every piece is turned by hand from its own blank, so the grain, color and figure of yours will be unique. No two are ever exactly alike.
